A note to prospective staff:

There is nothing like the culture, camaraderie and adventure that come with working at an overnight camp. We have a very special place here both for the children we serve and the special staff that dedicate their summIMG_4256er to provide the care and supervision of our campers. Our scenic camp overlooks a fresh water creek that wraps around 17 beautiful wooded acres with a large swimming pool, sports court and playground.

We have an average of 65 overnight campers and 25 day campers for each of our 3 sessions. As a Social Worker in a public school for 10 years I have come to find there are many similarities in the structure and experiences that happen in a camp compared to the school environment. That’s why I believe that we are an excellent training ground for anyone career minded in Education, Children’s and Human Services, Recreation or Physical Educationof course with twice the fun.

This is also an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a very competitive job market, training and most of all gain the confidence and self-esteem that come with service to others by 0705151830amaking a difference in the lives of children. We look to promote cultural exchange and emphasize to our kids the importance of learning and sharing ideas with diverse people. We are a small family atmosphere style camp that fosters a very positive community of friends and coworkers. Our small size also allows for quality relationship development with each of the campers that come through our gates.

There are weekend breaks that also serve to break up our 4 overnight sessions in which local excursions to some of our nearby scenic attractions can take place. If you have a desire to make a difference in the lives of children I am hopeful we can help and support each other.

Please send along your resume through our contact link and take some time to describe your strengths/skill areas ( ie.. SPORTS, ARTS AND CRAFTS, SWIMMING DANCE, MUSIC ETC) and how you think you can contribute to Bra0705151829eside Camp and the very important business of “leveling the playing field” for those in need, and of course towards generating more happy campers. Our staff stipend is based on experience and is for the entire 81/2 weeks of the contracted time you are working at Braeside. It includes room and board and an adventure of a lifetime. Please download and fill out the application. Email or mail it to Braeside Camp, 640 East Main St. Middletown NY 10940. Interviews are held the same location. Please respond with your availability to interview for one of our positions open.

Warmest regards,

Craig Altmann,
